The Cha Group Profile

The Cha Group was founded by Dr. Cha Chi Ming (1914-2007) in Hong Kong by establishing China Dyeing Works Limited in 1949 and soon developed into one of the world leaders in the textile industry. Today, the Group is a global conglomerate with diversified businesses in textiles, property development, technology, financial services, and healthcare. Its worldwide operation employs over 25,000 people and a number of its member companies are listed on international stock exchanges.

Textiles
Over 70 years of development, The Cha Textiles Group's African operation accounts for the largest part of its global operation, while its US and European members focus on modern textile technology, and its growing textile facilities in China offer one-stop shopping serving textile-for-apparel needs in the international market.

The Group's principle investment and fund management activities are managed by Mingly in Hong Kong and C.M. Capital Advisors ("CMC") in the US. With these established operations in Hong Kong and the US for over 3 decades, the Group has built a strong professional alliance in investments, financial advisory and asset management with special focus on the Chinese and US markets. Mingly and CMC are working closely as well as with other affiliates and partners to achieve the Group's growing objectives throughout the world.

GenRx Holdings Limited was established in 2000 as a Regional healthcare services provider to capture the growing demand for private services from the increasingly affluent Asian citizens. The Group partners with world-class medical experts and institutions in establishing advanced specialty medical services and has built a comprehensive range of healthcare and wellness services fulfilling the rising demand of quality healthcare in Hong Kong, Macau, and Manila, the Philippines.

Group Charities
Dr. Cha Chi Ming and family established the Sang Ma Trust Fund and the Qiu Shi Science & Technologies Foundation to support China's technology development since the 1990s. They have awarded and supported over 8,000 outstanding Chinese scientists, researchers and young scholars altogether. The Group was also the first Hong Kong enterprise being honored with "Cooperative Partner of China Space" and "The China Space Special-Use Clothing" in 2003 by the China Space Foundation. Furthermore, the Cha Textile's logo was amongst the few meaningful articles from Hong Kong being chosen to be carried to space in the Shenzhou 6 space mission in 2005.

In the U.S., the Group set up the C.M. Capital Foundation to support local charities in the West Coast of the United States.
